Bernard Rioux is first and foremost an artisan and designer and trained originally as a furniture maker. For 25 years he has honed his craft and has served the Georgian Triangle and Blue Mountains area where his work is found abundantly throughout the region. In 2016, Bernard moved to his new location in Port Sydney, Muskoka. Along with his apprentices, he is able to build one of a kind furniture creations as well as custom wood cabinetry for any work space. All designs and projects are custom built to any specifications or design and are manufactured in his shop and nothing is out sourced. His finishes are authentic and include distressed milk paint and state of the art oil and rubbed finishes. Bernard has been featured in publications such as "Our Homes", "On the Bay", "Architectural Digest", "Arabella", "Canadian House & Homes", "Central Ontario Interiors" and many more. Bernard would be happy to provide his artistic input or consultation for any project you have in mind whether large or small. He looks forward to developing lasting relationships now that his roots are in Muskoka and brings a solid reputation to the region.
Working one on one with clients or in conjuction with designers, Bernard is able to offer a wealth of knowledge and design ideas to any project. His added touch of hand drawn elevations, floor plans and designs bring a traditional flare to a growing commercial industry. Long lasting client relationships have become Bernard's specialty.
